Hotel is a hop, skip and throw away from Long Beach attractions (Queen Mary, Aquarium) Location is fire. Pool is tepid temp. Not the heated variety I am accustomed to swimming in but, I made do and enjoyed myself doing it. Staff goes above and beyond. Hello, to my soft caramels at the front desk! Room is nice. Bed should be a crime. I never wanted to leave it. Talk about clean, crisp, comfy, drowsy, deep slumber... Shower with the rainfall at hot was beautiful. Beautiful! Pressure could've been more intense but I will take it. The complimentary shampoos and conditioners and shower gel were nourishing and of high quality. My hair liked it and my hair can be temperamental. Did I say the staff are AMAZING?! I left my cell in the room after check out. A young man retrieved my phone AND my pool shoes I had also left. Food at hotel was Dismal. They offer sandwiches and salads. We walked to a seafood restaurant for dinner. The hotel bar looked closed and deserted. They should liven that up..Hotel has potential for rooftop shenanigans but it seems dead. They are not seeing the bigger picture. Guest DJs, happy hour, dancing...etc.

I stayed July 8-9th at Hyatt Centric The Pike Long Beach for one night stay. The staff was friendly and professional. Baggage person super nice and helpful with our bags. Room just little bit smaller then I expect but we're there for a night. Bed super comfortable and temperature I had adjust many times hot/ cold during my night. Rain shower was nice surprise. Supper relaxing. Each check in and check out. They had food a the small Cafe area not included the rate..but lady work there supper friendly and sweet. Location was amazing near by restaurant and food truck and mall. Only thing I didn't like rooftop is bit Small then I expect. And it busy up there so I didn't spend to much time up there. Overall all was nice sweet stay for a night for the cruise.

We had a fantastic stay at Hyatt Centric Long Beach! A huge thank you to Niza Arellano Garcia for going above and beyond to make our child’s birthday so special. Her kindness and thoughtful attention made our celebration truly memorable. The food and beverage staff were friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our stay. The hotel’s location is also perfect—within easy walking distance of great restaurants, shopping, and the Queen Mary. Wonderful hospitality, a great location, and an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend Hyatt Centric Long Beach and look forward to staying here again!

I was very disappointed with my stay at Hyatt Centric at The Pike Outlets. Based on the photos online, I expected a much nicer experience, but the room felt much smaller than it appeared in the pictures and didn’t match my expectations. The pool area was also disappointing. During my visit, it appeared messy and didn’t look well maintained, which made it much less enjoyable than I had anticipated. What stood out the most, however, was the customer service. Unfortunately, it was the worst part of my stay. I never felt welcomed or valued as a guest. My concerns were not handled with professionalism or empathy, and I left feeling dismissed rather than helped. Hospitality should make guests feel comfortable and respected, but that was not my experience here. Overall, between the misleading expectations from the photos, the condition of the common areas, the small rooms, and the poor customer service, I would not choose to stay at this location again. There are many other hotels in the area that offer a much better guest experience for the price. To make matters worse, I was charged a $250 smoking fee despite the fact that I did not smoke in the room. They refused to show the room or evidence, or nor did they communicate that at checkout. Being accused of something I did not do without meaningful discussion or evidence, making false claims was both frustrating and upsetting. Under my assumption, they treat guest who books thru third parties differently and try to make up the difference by charging an additional fee after checkout. As someone who expects a certain standard when staying at a Hyatt property, this experience fell far below those expectations. Hospitality is about making guests feel welcome, respected, and heard. Unfortunately, I experienced the exact opposite handled by the hotel staff. This experience has left me questioning whether I can trust Hyatt with future stays. I hope Hyatt will take this complaint seriously and work to ensure that no other guest is treated in this manner.

I stayed at Hyatt Centric The Pike Long Beach for almost a month and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The staff was extremely accommodating from day one. There was an electricity issue my first night, and they immediately brought me a free fridge for my room to use for the entire stay — that level of care really stood out. Throughout my stay, the team took great care of me and was super knowledgeable about everything from local spots to hotel amenities. They also told me about the parking pass option, which saved me a ton vs paying daily rates. Location is perfect if you’re visiting Long Beach. I’d definitely come back here on my next trip.

Visited the location for my annual Toyotafest car meet. I must rant and rave about how accommodating and welcoming the staff are. My business schedule made me accidentally booked the wrong days, but the staff was my hero by changing the date at a beater rate than Hotels.com, and a better room. To all the staff that helped me out, thank you so much. The room was spacious, relaxing, the bed felt like sleeping on a cloud and the whole experience made you feel like royalty. Also the parking is way better price and accessible than all the other places around.

We were in Long Beach for a cruise and stayed at the Hyatt Centric the Pike Long Beach pre / post cruise on March 13 & March 22. We chose this hotel because of the proximity to the cruise terminal and all of the other area attractions. The room that we stayed in before the cruise was very nice, with a queen bed and a nice sitting area. The bathroom was very clean, and had a real large walk-in shower. There were also motion activated night lights that were located in the base of the bed that really helped when you had to go to the bathroom at night. Patricia at the front desk was very friendly and so helpful!! Can’t say enough about here. She even recognized us when we returned for our second stay. The second stay after our cruise was also very nice. They were able to give us an early check in, which was very nice (we had requested that when we booked the room). The front desk people and bell desk gentleman was very helpful. The room that we got didn’t have a sitting area like the previous room, but was very clean, and also had a nice big walk-in shower. They also have a nice roof top pool / bar that has great views. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is nice as well as the rooms. The only issue we had was the thermostat. At night it got pretty warm. Apparently there is a sensor on it and when there is no movement in the room the air cuts off. We had to get up throughout the first night and continue to tap it. When we went to bed it was set on 65, but I'm the middle of the night the temp rises to 75. If you attempt to open the windows for a breeze, just know that the AC has sensors on the windows and will shut off with a message to close them in order for it to work. We did complain at the front desk and I'm not sure if an engineer fixed it remotely, but after that it stayed pretty cool. It's located right in the center of the Pike. There is plenty to do within walking distance, from food, shopping, the beach, the aquarium and other tourist attractions. The rooftop pool was nice on a hot day, but unless you rent a cabana, the chairs are first come first serve.

So glad we took a chance on this hotel. The location is perfect, just one block from the pier/beach and dozens of restaurants. Our room had a sofa and a nice modern shower. The heated pool on the rooftop is a nice touch, with nice lounge areas and incredible views. The mattress in our bed was a bit soft, but otherwise we loved it.

Spent one night here after our cruise to rest and it was fantastic. Great clean room with a nice view. The pool was very nice (not heated) but didn't use it. Did grab a drink from the market then lounge on the rooftop and read which was nice. You can see the cruise ships and Queen Mary from the roof and hear the regular horns. Staff (David) was super friendly and gave great recommendations for food in the area. Location is close to outlets and not a far walk from the beach (15 mins). Only comments for improvement would be the lotion supplied is not my favorite- it doesn't absorb. Additionally, when getting breakfast, there was only one person working so they were having to run around and do everything themselves while people waited. Breakfast was good, though! Would stay again.
