Great stay at this Courtyard. Room was spacious. Restaurant on property. Top Golf Swing Suite as well. Parking is a bit expensive ($50 day) as this site does not have their own parking.

Good location in dwtn long Beach. Room needs better ventilation, bathroom toilet smells like sewage and room smells like steak house cooking next door. Thin floor as we could hear ppl walking on the floor above us. Restaurant is nice and front desk staffs are friendly and helpful.

My main reason for the review is the Verizon cell phone towers were down yesterday so I see the phone at the hotel. Well we live in 2026 so long distance calls are not the same as 1996. I made 5 calls to the family in Oklahoma maybe 2 min each i didn’t keep track. Each call was 20.91. The front desk response to it was “nothing is free at hotels.” Just no sympathy or I apologize but long distance calls aren’t free. No matter the situation you should always apologize and show sympathy. Terrible service

Very good location, close to many restaurants and beach. The staff were very accommodating. The hotel parking is very expensive but there is free street parking near the hotel at night, if you can find a spot.

First time staying here, interesting location. Older building, needs upgrades. Staff was friendly, lobby is nice. Not close enough to walk anywhere. Parking is small, and one of our friends cars got blocked in by another vehicle. There is a restaurant attached and a room that’s virtual reality golf/ soccer that’s “Top Golf” only stayed one night and the price was reasonable. Had a weird walkway in front of our bedroom window so kept the curtains closed. Would stay again for the price. Not sure if I’d recommend, there are nicer hotels, but great for a quick stay.

I usually don’t write reviews. I travel a lot for work and have stayed in my fair share of hotels in the downtown Long Beach area. My most recent stay at this hotel was interesting and maybe a little mixed. I showed up in the middle of the night for a 5 night stay. I chose this hotel because it’s close to our corporate office and a convenient commute. The night staff originally put me in a room that left me a little concerned as the view was concerning - especially staying for the next 5 nights. I reached out immediately to see if I could upgrade my room in which I was told no unapologetically. I swore to never stay there again. I did however speak to someone the next morning that literally saved my negative experience. She was kind, understanding, and actually was able to move me to a much better location where I enjoyed every night for the rest of my stay. Her customer service saved my experience. What she didn’t know is I travel to that location at least once a month and usually have anywhere from 3-8 extra reservations that come with me. Because of her customer service and attitude I will be returning to that location every month. Her name is Jeanette and pray that she is recognized for her example of great customer service!

Wow! Just wow! Updated well appointed rooms. Fabulous restaurant bar with outdoor seating - open for breakfast lunch and dinner! And best of - all, the service was excellent! Everyone smiling and very accommodating. Hotel gym was very clean. This hotel has topgolf! Food menu, and electronic golf in the hotel lobby, separate room. So cool! Highly recommend!

Nice rooms friendly staff, HIGH ROOF VEHICLES BEWARE. Hotel is very nice inside and the rooms were clean and in good shape. Staff was super friendly and helpful. When I got there I got extremely concerned as I was driving a transit van and their parking structure is only 6 ft 6 in. Staff was accommodating and worked out a solution for me but parking is extremely limited for high roof vehicles. If you have one you may want to check out a different place. If you don't, great place to stay and you seem to be in the heart of downtown at least for my experience. I don't know Long Beach too well.

The Courtyard Marriott Long Beach Downtown hit that sweet spot between ‘plenty of room to roam’ and ‘just enough buzz to feel alive.’ The place felt incredibly spacious—like someone gave relaxation a real estate upgrade. The bistro-bar-restaurant space? Huge, lively, and brilliantly designed with open seating that’s basically begging for some people-watching (indoors and out—it’s an all-access pass to human theater). Drinks were crafted with care, and the bartenders served them up with a side of warmth that felt like a hug in cocktail form. A solid choice for travelers who want both peace and pulse—without sacrificing either.

I recently stayed at the Courtyard Long Beach Downtown, and it was an excellent experience. Our room was quiet, comfortable, and provided everything we needed. The service was fantastic—especially considering my situation. My son and I had traveled two days by train from New Orleans to Los Angeles, and I use an electric wheelchair while my son managed all our luggage in a manual wheelchair. When our train arrived in Los Angeles at 5:35 AM, we used the metro rail system to get to the hotel. I understand that early check-in isn’t always standard practice, but they graciously accommodated us since our room was available. A heartfelt thank you for that! The hotel offers several amenities, including a pool, a fitness room, and even a “Topgolf Swing Suite,” which added to the overall experience. However, the best part for me was our room. It was incredibly comfortable and relaxing, especially after our long train journey, and the shower was simply amazing. The location of the hotel was also convenient, allowing us to walk around and enjoy the area easily. Overall, I highly recommend Courtyard Long Beach Downtown for anyone looking for a great stay!
