What a beautiful and well taken care of hotel. By far the friendliest staff I have come across at a hotel as well. Everyone was so welcoming and making sure we had everything we needed. Our room was clean and had a great view of The Queen Mary. It was a quick night stay but I will definitely stay there again when I come back to Long Beach. A big thank you to Ramon and Guillermo for being so wonderful and making sure we had everything we needed at our breakfast before we left for the next part of our trip.

This is now our go-to hotel before each cruise out of long beach. It's only an 8 min Uber to the cruise port. The front desk moved our room to a higher floor so we could get a better view of the port. Parking is easy to book ahead of time (and much cheaper than booking through the hotel). The rooms are clean, modern and spacious. Our room had a reading nook I'm the window which is great to read a book while looking over the cityscape. The bathroom is spacious and has great lighting. The restaurant downstairs is great if you don't want to leave the hotel. Close to tons of restaurants if you want to explore.

My stay at the Marriott Long Beach was wonderful from start to finish! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location, but what truly made the experience exceptional was the customer service. The M Lounge was also outstanding and had some of the best breakfasts and snacks I’ve seen in a while. As someone who travels frequently and holds Titanium Elite status, I’ve experienced many lounges, and this one truly stood out. Everything was fresh, well-stocked, and thoughtfully presented. A huge thank you to Rey at the front desk for being so kind, professional, and incredibly helpful. Rey went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of and made us feel genuinely welcomed. If you’re staying here, I highly recommend this hotel and be sure to say hello to Rey at the front desk! We will definitely be back.

Wow! Stayed for 2 nights over the weekend for a birthday celebration, and we were impressed by the hotel. The look, ambiance and feel of the hotel was amazing. Staff at the front desk was great, always approachable. Property has plenty of parking spaces, might be a little tight and a challenge for larger trucks/SUVs. When we got into the room we were highly impressed by the aesthetic, it was like quiet modern but had minimalist feels to it, plenty of outlets. Bathroom had plenty of counter space, we love the lamps in the room too. Just overall pleasing to the eyes. We had lounge access with our bonvoy membership, the staff at the lounge could be a little better, did not feel welcoming during service hours when staff was there. Breakfast selections was much better than the afternoon selection. Coffee machine was out of order for the 2 days we were there. We ordered room service one day, had the saucy wings and burrata flatbread, both surprisingly amazing! Just be aware, property does have resort fee. Overall, highly recommend, we'd probably stay again!

I cannot say enough good things about our stay at this hotel. The property itself is fantastic—clean, comfortable, and we truly loved the overall atmosphere and amenities during our time there. In particular, we loved the window seats in our room; they were such a perfect, cozy spot to relax and take in the view. ?However, what happened on our departure day was truly exceptional. In the rush of heading to the port for a cruise, I accidentally left my Kindle in our room. Once I realized it, I knew I didn't have enough time to head back without missing my ship. ?Andrew, the manager, saved the day. Without hesitation, he personally drove all the way to the port to hand-deliver my Kindle to me before we boarded. That level of dedication and genuine care for guests is so rare to find. Andrew turned what could have been a huge stressor into a highlight of our trip. ?If you are looking for a hotel that truly values its guests, look no further. We loved the hotel "anyway," but this experience made us fans for life. Thank you, Andrew!

Stayed at the Marriott Downtown Long Beach and was very disappointed. Front desk staff (Todd) was not welcoming and seemed bothered by basic questions. Manager had to step in to further explain our questions, they seemed to have noticed the awkwardness. The 150 dollar nightly deposit was not clearly disclosed during online booking, which was inconvenient at check in. Moving along … My room smelled like moisture or mildew. The front desk mentioned the carpets may have just been cleaned, though it smelled like a leak had occurred and the water caused carpet damage. Another room in our family had a leak in the flooring and we had to call multiple times before being moved (rooms 723 & 724). The breakfast buffet was unacceptable. We were served expired yogurt and dry, stale danishes. At 38.68 per person, that is NOT acceptable. No reimbursement or real effort was made to correct these issues. I will not stay at this location again. The hear your complaints but just say “I’m sorry”. It was severely overpriced for what we were given.

We were at the restaurant for breakfast today and one of us had breakfast buffet while rest had a la carte from the menu. We placed our order and my brother got his few things from the buffet, then the waitress Maria came up to our table to check on us and said if you share your buffet items it would be charged in a rude way. We understand the buffet policy and her speaking to us in such manner ruined our experience. Im not sure if all guests are treated the same way or was it just us ?#marriott long beach downtown

I didn’t stay at the hotel, but I attended a conference here and was genuinely impressed by the staff. The service stood out in the best way. The restaurant team, especially Keath and Guillermo, were exceptional. Attentive, professional, and clearly proud of what they do. The management team was equally strong. Helpful, pleasant, and present in a way that actually mattered. You could tell there’s a culture of care and accountability running through the place. Even as a conference attendee rather than a guest, the experience left a strong impression. Great people make a great hotel, and this team absolutely delivered.

The property and location were excellent; however, I was ultimately disappointed by the lack of service and communication provided to both me and my parents during our stay. I reached out weeks in advance to request the use of my Nightly Upgrade Awards to secure a suite for my parents—specifically a suite. I rarely make such requests despite spending over 50 nights per year at Marriott properties, but for this stay I hoped to take advantage of a benefit that Marriott Bonvoy promotes for its loyal members. Unfortunately, Rey was unresponsive to my request for assistance. Rather than offering solutions or demonstrating empathy, he chose to ignore my inquiries altogether. Despite low occupancy and suites clearly listed as available for booking online, I was met with inconsistent explanations, excuses, and an overall sense of apathy toward what should have been a straightforward request. Having worked in luxury hospitality management for over four years, I am well acquainted with what professional, sincere service looks like—and this experience fell short of that standard.

I stayed here during the FD weekend in October. The check in went smoothly but the hotel was quite packed due to the event. The resort fee amenities were decent and I was able to use them all. The room was clean and location was perfect as it was a quick walk to where the race was being held. Would definitely stay here again.
