Marriott should be ashamed! I am a frequent flyer of Marriott and this did not even meet low expectations on my honeymoon. I used a free upgrade and got the executive suite which was a waste. I asked for one complimentary water and was told no! I spend so much money between Bonvoy and the Vacation Club. Room was extremely small and bathroom was super dated. Breakfast was almost

Overall the room was comfortable and it had a small in cabinet refrigerator and a coffee maker. The room I was assigned had a musty smell throughout it which was unpleasant. The location is good and there are plenty of dining and retail shopping nearby. Inside the hotel there is a restaurant, bar, and coffee shop. The convention center is also within walking distance. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Our room wasn’t anything to brag about. The bed certainly didn’t look like it was made. It looked like it had been sat on in a few places. There was mold growing around certain areas on the shower tile, and the shower head barely had water coming out of it. The water in the bathtub took quite some time to drain, and the bathroom mirrors were peeling, not to mention that the bathroom door wouldn’t shut completely. The bed was horrendous. Extremely lumpy. Our backs were hurting all night. To make things worse 3 days later we noticed in our checking acct. that they had taken $83 out for a parking fee and also took money out for a destination fee. All of which was never mentioned that they would do this. For the extreme amount of money we paid for this night stay we have never had a worse stay at any hotel and hidden fees like this place. We won’t be making that mistake again if we go to a California again.

We had a fantastic experience at the Westin, I’ve stayed here numerous times before and it was always good! This time in particular we arrived quite early (10:30am) and they happily checked us in and even upgraded our room to a suite. Room and facilities are great, we then found later in the day a lovely welcome note with some treats left in our room. Location is great, pool is nice and the gym is very well equipped.

Absolutely phenomenal service from Kasha at the Westin Downtown Long Beach. Across multiple visits, Kasha consistently went above and beyond to make each stay seamless, comfortable, and genuinely welcoming. From anticipating needs to handling requests with ease and grace, the attention to detail and proactive approach made a noticeable difference every single time. What truly stood out was the consistency. Kasha treated each experience with the same level of care, professionalism, and warmth. It’s rare to encounter someone who elevates a hotel stay from “great” to truly memorable, but Kasha does exactly that. A huge asset to the Westin team and a big reason I’ll continue coming back.

Typical rooms are decent, small, clean and well appointed. Check-in is expedient and efficient, if none too friendly. If at the restaurant you sit anywhere other than in the server's lap, you will be totally ghosted with no refill, no dessert order, no additional beverages, nothing. You do not exist. I've stayed at a lot of Westins. This was embarrassing, to pay this room rate and get worse bar / restaurant service than DoorDash. Completely unacceptable. This staff should be sent to Westin Seattle for training.

Location Great! Staff amazing, very nice and helpful. Lobby is beautiful. I just want to warn you. If you like a comfy bed. Soft pillows. Don’t expect that from this hotel. I absolutely hate these beds. Hard like a rock. The pillows have no support. Felt like I was sleeping on the floor. I woke up with knots in my back and neck.

I stayed at the Westin Long Beach recently, and while the hotel itself is comfortable and well-located, I experienced several issues with the housekeeping service. When I checked in, the room had only half a roll of toilet paper and about one-third of a tissue box, which was surprising for a hotel of this standard. I requested a kettle from housekeeping and was told they don’t provide any. However, when I went to reception, they were able to provide one immediately, suggesting a communication gap between departments. The phone in my room was not working, so when I saw housekeeping in the hallway near the next room, I asked them directly for toilet paper and tissues. Unfortunately, she refused to give me any in the beginning, and I had to explain my room only have half when i check in and then she gave me one each. There was also quite a bit of noise from housekeeping when they were cleaning the room next door. If you’re sensitive to noise, it might be a good idea to bring your own earplugs. Overall, the stay was fine, but I hope the hotel can improve the consistency and responsiveness of housekeeping.

We stayed at this hotel twice in the last year. The first time was when we were evacuated due to the wildfires in January. The staff was so attentive of us and any other guests who were evacuated, and they always asked if they could help. Then we booked a hotel block for our wedding a couple weeks ago. Their block was so easy with Demi, Stephanie and Anacani's help with any questions or requests that arose. The hotel was stunning, and the staff was so kind and helpful to us and our guests. Their beds are so comfortable that my husband and I wish we asked what brand of mattress and bedding they use so we can get some for our own home. We will always recommend this hotel if anyone is visiting near Long Beach.

The staff was kind and helpful. I left an item in the room and went back for it after my cruise. They were helpful and responsive. I so appreciate their service. Definitely recommend
