This property has received largely negative feedback, with two reviews branding it a 'dump' and highlighting severe health and safety hazards. Despite one very positive review praising the comfort and staff, the overwhelming consensus involves roach infestations, poor staffing, and security concerns.
Night Worker Dante didn't have our reservation. Wouldn't book a room for us. extremly rude. Wouldn't lift a finger to help.I called Booking.com they said they recieved the booking and it was confirmed. It's now 2:23 in the morning. With no place to stay. Our flight got canceled at 12 midnight. It got rebooted for 10:40 in morning. We just needed a few hours of sleep. Extremly frustrated. Standing in front of the hotel wondering what to do.
My mom, 1 year old & I are here for the night to get on a cruise and upon arrival my mom requested a new room because in the first room TV remote wasn’t working and the room smelled like straight piss. The second room we got to on the second floor smelled like weed which I was fine with, but as soon as I opened the door I literally seen a roach run OUT the room.. I tried to pay it no mind until my mom said she’d seen one. We both were over it but then I can to the bathroom, seen another one, killed it, then seen two more in the tub I immediately walked out & said I’ll hold it. At 7 this morning I couldn’t hold it anymore so I went to go use the bathroom, turned on the bathroom light & there were three coach roaches & an ant waiting for me … one of them was crawling across the toilet seat.. I could’ve cried. Never again.
This place is trash. They have roaches. Management sucks my daughter was literally attacked by a vicious pitbull & when law enforcement tried to make contact, Management covered for them. They also don't care about elderly or handicapped residences. They make everyone walk all the way around even if their room is next to another door. I also had a pipe burst in the kitchen & flood the entire floor. What do you think they did, guys? They gave me towels. Avoid if you can.
Roaches. No towels at all... Really? Signal hill California airport? Trash room so gross. Overflowing every night. Laundry machines limited. And out of order. Unfortunately at best . Garbage . Wow. On service this hotel chain needs to pay and hire more staff. They are overworked understaffed and underpaid. My trip was local resident . Staying here 11 days due to mold remediation at my house. No towels after leaving at the front desk several days ? Owners need to step up. I can't even post this review unless I choose what they allow on their
Supposed to stay 2 nights, but we left after 1 night. Room and hallways smelled like cigarettes or weed. Weird people standing around in the hallways. Homeless people all around the area. Our door #228 wouldn't lock. Had to pull it hard to lock it. Had to insert/reinsert key multiple times to open door. TV remote sound button didnt work. Breakfast was poor at best. Just never felt comfortable being there.
This would be the worst hotel to stay in Long Beach. My room smell, horrible, smell like cigarettes. The air condition was not working properly. I did inform the staff I left for a few hours returned and couldn’t get in my room. I left out the building thinking maybe I grabbed the wrong key card Went back to my car. Try to get back into the front lobby could not get in and its midnight. I stood outside waiting on someone to pick up the phone in order to let me back in the hotel that I paid my money for that night. not sure why mine keycard stop working , the worst experience ever I wouldn’t recommend my dog to stay at this hotel . To be standing outside at midnight, waiting to be Let in a hotel that I paid my money for is what address did they give you that would be on the other side so if you go through the double doors when you get to the middle of the lobby, make a left and go down that long hallway when you get to the end, the hallway make another left you’re welcome beyond crazy. I was furious. This should have never happened.
I would give below one star if it would let me. I am absolutely horrified from this hotel. I’m not one to leave reviews but I had to, to save other people from wasting their time and money. Me and my friend were visiting the area from out of town and were looking for a place to get ready before a big event. Absolutely horrendous. There were strange people hanging out both outside the hotel and inside the lobby. Someone was dragging a black trash bag around the hallways. When I went to grab something from my car, there were two people arguing very aggressively and violently that you could hear it when walking in the halls. There were bags belonging to one room that was enough to line the hall three doors down. Looked like they were moving out of an apartment. My room itself was dimly lit, with the light flickering and floor was sticky. Not to mention that the whole hotel also reeked of weed. I was scared to touch anything because of how utterly filthy it was. I hadn’t planned on staying the night there to begin with but if I had, I would have left immediately. Overall, I was concerned for my safety and well being in this hotel. I do not even know how this hotel is still open. It should be shut down by the city. DO NOT STAY HERE.
If I could award negative stars I would. When I arrived guests were backed up because of some clerical error. A treat when you are exhausted from hours of driving. Lady at the front was nice enough to get me checked in simultaneously. Got to room and it reeked of weed. Carpet had burn marks on it and the TV had no remote--I called the front desk with no answer. Deciding to accept my fate I asked for dryer sheets because that's what we used while deployed in the middle east to make our rooms smell better and the night clerk said they don't provide any--so I asked for a different room-- he informed me they were overbooked so no other room was available. Lastly the "grab and go" breakfast option gave me hope.. the next morning (after terrible olfactory-infused nightmares) I looked forward to something to start my day. I was awarded by a dirty cabinet with 2 blown out coffee machines and a cabinet, picked over with 2 oatmeal packets left on it. I have stayed at motel 6's better then this place. Recommend going anywhere else. V/R Gregory MacDonald
Horrible experience under the bed was dusty and there was trash, the bathroom had blood, the room had a roach. The building had rats. The hallways smelled horrible breakfast is false advertisement there’s only on the go oatmeal the coffee machine ran out of coffee before breakfast was over. Staff is horrible. Leon only Eva was nice and her daughter. 00 OK. The bed was dusty and there was trash the blood the room watch the wild has rats all the hallways smell horrible breakfast is in there is the oatmeal coffee machine run out of coffee before breakfast was over. Eva was the only employee who came in to me and was extremely helpful. And I saw the police on more than one occasion.
Hard to say this without being too particular. We chose this location because we were traveling with pets and not many places can accommodate. The price was also a factor. Hallways smelled terrible, a mixture of cigarettes smoke and dog pee. The rooms were clean, the TV was bolted in front of a mirror we tried to use that was awkwardly placed. I woke up early to utilize the Continental Breakfast, but everything was almost out by 8:00am. I asked the clerk and I waited for the coffee to be refilled . The Continental Breakfast was minimal and ransacked by guest. At one point three small barefooted children wandered into the lobby area by themselves. The stairway and closest exit was full of fast food trash and people loitering. lots of loitering out in the parking lot as well. We left early to make our way to Vegas, while loading up the car at around midnight there were at least 3 groups of people hanging around outside smoking weed and doing nothing. This may seem inconsequential, but for guest, it's important that the parking lot and surrounding area outside the hotel remains safe, it did not feel that way when leaving.
