Golden Shore RV Resort consistently receives positive feedback, praised for its location near Long Beach attractions, cleanliness, and friendly staff. While some guests note the dirt pads and occasional noise, many highlight its convenient proximity to the waterfront and the overall pleasant atmosphere. The resort offers a quiet and secure environment for RV travelers.
Hate the sand pads. Elsewise the whole place is great. Beautiful pool area. Bathrooms very clean and up to date. Good location. Easy walking distance to LB Harbor area.
We have been going to Golden shore RV resort for at least six years now. It is a small clean, safe and Beautiful location within walking distance to downtown Long Beach. The grounds are probably the cleanest ones I have seen at most RV parks. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We always look forward to our time at Golden shore RV resort.
The resort was nice. The spots are mostly dirt with a few paved spots. There is a nice grassy area in the middle, great for playing cornhole, throwing balls around, etc.. The site we had was large and nice! It said the spot was oceanside, but that really is just a direction and not that this spot was on the ocean. Behind the resort is some sort of path that apparently allows motorized vehicles. It's not really a problem until the evening when it can be loud and jarring while you are trying to relax. The WiFi never worked. The restroom/showers were clean and stocked, although one of the two soap dispensers were not working or was just empty when I was there for the whole weekend. Overall a nice little resort that is kept clean and tidy. Close enough to most major Long Beach attractions that it is feasible to ride share and not completely break the bank. I would stay here again.
We recently stayed at Golden Shore RV Resort for two weeks and overall had a good experience during our actual stay. The location was convenient, the resort was clean, and once management mentioned there had been a complaint about our dogs, we took it seriously and made sure there were no further issues for the remainder of our trip. What is completely unacceptable and incredibly unprofessional is what happened afterward. At no point during our stay were we told that we would be permanently banned or “blacklisted” from returning. We finished our stay without being asked to leave, without another complaint, and without any further communication from management. It wasn’t until we later attempted to make another reservation and gave them our name that they suddenly informed us over the phone that we are no longer allowed back because we had three dogs instead of two. If management had already decided we were no longer welcome, that should have been communicated clearly and professionally at the time, not hidden until we tried to book another stay. The way it was handled felt dishonest, rude, and extremely unprofessional. We were even told they could “do whatever they want.” I completely understand businesses having policies, but the lack of transparency and poor customer service is what makes this experience so disappointing. We genuinely enjoyed our stay, which makes the way this was handled afterward even more frustrating. Future guests deserve to know how quickly this resort may blacklist returning customers without clearly communicating it to them.
We recently stayed at Golden Shore RV Resort and overall had a good experience. The resort itself is small but very clean and well maintained. While we didn’t use the restrooms or showers, the common areas we did see the areas like the trash area were kept clean. The sites are dirt pads with grassy areas around them, so it definitely helps to bring outdoor rugs or carpets to keep things clean around your RV. We always travel with ours and had no issues with dirt. Our site was level and the hookups were easy to access and fully functional. Sites are a bit close together, but since we spent most of our time exploring the area, it wasn’t a big issue for us. The staff and groundskeepers were friendly and helpful, answering our questions when needed, and check-in was quick and easy. The resort has a security gate and felt very safe, which we appreciated. One thing to note is that the atmosphere is very quiet. For us personally, it felt more like a senior-style RV community. Families with kids or campers who enjoy playing music and socializing outside might find it a bit too quiet. We’re Hispanic and enjoy cooking outside with low music, and we didn’t feel like it was the type of place where that would really fit in, so we kept things very low-key. We didn’t use the laundry room or other facilities because we spent most of our time out biking and exploring everything that Long Beach has to offer. The location is excellent, with many attractions nearby and easy access to get around by bicycle or the electric scooters you can find throughout the city. Overall, if you’re looking for a clean, secure, and quiet place close to Long Beach attractions, this resort is a great option. Larger RVs also appeared to fit comfortably in the spaces we saw.
The sites are very unlevel. Bring extra leveling blocks. When backed in completely our levelmate indicated our back tires needed to come up 10in, we pulled forward as much as we could but it was still very off. We don’t have automatic leveling jacks so make sure you have more leveling blocks than you typically use because we didn’t and couldn’t get as level as we preferred. It’s not fun feeling like you’re drunk in your RV when completely sober. I’ve found better level spots on BLM land for free.
Great RV Park! Very clean safe and well maintained. Rates are reasonable love the amenities of laundry showers pool spa gardening convenient location to downtown. Nice store and staff small and quaint spacious sites with picnic table room for a car at no extra charge. Couple annoying things are the sand lots and the inflexible no late checkout.
The best rv resort that I know of. Love how close it is to the waterfront. So much to do within walking distance. The facility is always very clean. Love the pool and hot tub.
This is our 5th year staying at Golden Shore RV resort. It is easy to get to (if you need to be in Long Beach). The sites are a decent size for being in downtown. Easy to back into for our trailer. Common sense with keeping your things protected is needed but the resort does its best to be gated and secure.
Stayed here for 3 nights early October, absolutely great site. We booked this due to the location being so convenient for our Cruise America drop off centre. The pitch was great, everything was in good working order and you had a good amount of space and privacy. Made use of the great laundry facilities and the pool during our stay. The toilets are currently being refurbished but this was mentioned on booking and is written all over their website too, hopefully they will be up and running again soon. Loads of transport in the area too and the beach is just over the road. It was slightly rowdy one night but it wasn't too late and they shut it down pretty quickly. Overall great experience!
